This is absolutely lovely. The setting is so vivid and lush and fully realized that after I finished it I felt a little like this in reverse:

Coming back to Mulder and the beach is like surfacing from underwater – Scully emerges blinking, shocked at the light and the air and the wind.

I was so lost in the world you described that I was sort of blinking in confusion at my non-tropical paradise desk when I finished reading. I can't even pick a favorite part because the whole thing just shines.
