My yuletide fic, written for HPStrangelove: I mean, I'm not Robin or Alfred, so am I Mary Jane? The working title was "How Charlie and Ted Circumvent Prop 8 and Also Accidentally Raise Rachel". Yes.
Look ma, I got four!
Life (tv)
Lloyd's Still Got Them Polaroids by delgaserasca [Tidwell/Dani] Dude. DUDE. I requested Tidwell/Dani because I love love love them, even though they are frowned at by the fandom at large, and boy did
delgaserasca deliver. It's just... Tidwell is the perfect amount of creepy and sweet and so fascinated with Dani, who is contrary and made of awesome. In fact, this fic is made of awesome. Even if you don't know the fandom, read it.
Pushing Daisies
A Lovely Way to Spend Christmas by Olivia Circe [Olive Snook/Emerson Cod] The dialog in this is Spot. On. I can freaking hear Chi McBride saying these lines. And the atmosphere matches perfectly to the whimsy of the show. Olive and Emerson, solving crimes on Christmas; this story is now part of my canon. Also, the title is from a Kristin Chenoweth song! Win. Again, read it.
It's a Purl! by smercy [Olive Snook/Emerson Cod] Olive and Emerson team up against... wait for it... bondage knitters! I'm sorry, I think that should be enough of a rec right there. Seriously. Bondage. Knitters. And Olive gets locked in the soy based yarn closet! And she sings Womanizer to pass the time! It's an episode of the show at its most cracktastic. Read it.
The Teddy Bear and the Itty-Bitty, or, How Olive's Persistence Finally Paid Off by Grevling [Olive Snook/Emerson Cod] Olive wants to be hired as partner. Emerson... is less than sold on the idea. Olive is persistent and adorable and Emerson is stubborn and charmed despite himself. The details in this story are absolutely lovely. As one reviewer said, I would totally watch the Teddy Bear and Itty-Bitty show. Reeeeeead it.
